Since this is a redirection-based flow, the client must be capable of interacting with the resource owner's user-agent (typically a web browser) and capable of receiving incoming requests (using redirection) from the authorization server. It was created to offer desktop and mobile client applications a more secure and robust sign-in experience and is recommended by IETF (The Internet Engineering Task Force) among other OAuth 2.0 best practices.
